Fête Nationale, Bastille Day
France's national day brings fireworks, military parades and village balls from Paris to the smallest Provençal town. Watching a local display from a villa terrace is a highlight of any July stay.

The world's greatest bike race sweeps through a different mix of regions each July, from alpine cols to Riviera coast roads. If a stage passes near your villa, the roadside picnic atmosphere is unmissable.
