- BoatNumerous ferries connect the main coastal centres and their islands year-round, with extended summer services. Split is the main hub, with major ports at Dubrovnik, Šibenik, Zadar and Rijeka. Yacht hire (crewed or bareboat) is widely available.
- BusBus services are excellent and relatively inexpensive, with several companies on each route. Note that buses between Split and Dubrovnik pass through Bosnian territory, so keep your passport handy.
- BicycleBicycles are easy to rent along the coast and on the islands. Flatter islands such as Pag offer relaxed riding, while hillier roads reward you with spectacular views.
