The neighbourhood
Plage du Debarquement is a lovely long beach with clear and shallow water stretching out, with a sailing school, rafts that you can swim out to, and a good choice of restaurants. This beach has a bit of a history. On August 16th, 1944, soldiers from the US and UK stormed that beach to fight the German invaders. Hard to imagine when everything is now so peaceful and filled with the laughter of children.
