How is it possible to describe this Swiss territory that concentrates so many natural treasures, so many landscapes of stunning beauty? Maybe if one described the 680 glaciers it harbors or the biggest subterranean lake in Europe? The uncountable expanses of water formed by dams or maybe the fifty summits that reach heights of more than 4000 meters? This is a difficult question, especially because the Canton du Valais is not only a region with fabulous panoramas but also home to the best ski resorts in the Alps, with villages displaying an irresistible charm. Mostly small little mountain villages, that combine the excellence of winter sport activities and great authenticity. One of them perfectly illustrates this difficult combination, the Swiss district called Verbier. The place Blanche symbolizes this marriage between traditions and modernity. A very sought after place where sophisticated restaurants stand next luxury boutiques and cafés, and just a few meters from the ski lifts running up to the ski domain. In the heart of the place Blanche, the eyes are turned towards the passes and crests that rise behind the roofs, stands this picturesque Chalet. The panorama can be seen from the long balconies, through the many floor to ceiling windows of the mansion, very representative of the area. In this Chalet, a refuge entirely made of wood, the rustic board floors are combined to the graceful lines of the contemporary furniture displayed in the two living rooms with an open fire place, in the lounge, the bar space and the home cinema room. The suites are all very spacious and they all benefit from an adjacent bathroom. One of the two master’s bedroom’s bathroom has a steam shower, the two other bedrooms display bunk beds and a mezzanine. Through the windows one sees some of the marvelous panoramas of the Valais. A confirmation that the region has very much to offer to those who love beauty.
