It is a huge glacier, set among the highest summits of Switzerland which, for the most of them, reach a height of more than 4000 meters. On its frozen slopes and under the snow cover, small streams run along by the thousands and get together to form one of largest river in Europe, the Rhône. It takes its source in the entrails of the same named glacier, and draws its bed through the Swiss Alps, in a region that is composed by extraordinary natural formations, the Canton of Valais. Here the mountains reach phenomenal heights and on their slopes many ski resorts have been created during the 20th Century; among them, Verbier is certainly one of the most prestigious. Offering many sport activities, the resort is linked to the 4 Vallées, a domain that displays more than 410 km of ski slope. But Verbier is essentially a charming village, and the chalet has been built in its center, nearby the shops, cafés and restaurants. The ski lifts are also very close to it, as well as a spa with Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath and a gym with a direct access from the house. The mansion, and this is quite usual in the Valais, respects the local traditions and privileges wood, for the aged oak floorboards, the paneling and also for the massive beams.
